What is my initial meeting all about?

The first 15 minutes of your initial phone meeting with your Financial Streams adviser is at our cost, as it is important that we can help you and it also gives you an opportunity to consider whether you would like to work with us going forward. During the initial meeting we would normally have a general discussion about your needs, objectives and circumstances as well as answering any questions which you may have.

What is the cost of my first meeting?

Following your free phone meeting, we will arrange an initial meeting in-person to discuss you needs, goals and current financial position. The cost of this meeting is $330 incl. GST and will be deducted from your Statement of Advice fee, should you choose to continue with us.

Are you upfront with your cost structure?

Financial Streams works on a fee for service basis, and we do not seek or retain any commission or any other form of renumeration from fund managers, investment suppliers or investment platform providers (other than personal insurance). Our advisers are not required to promote any particular investments or products from any provider allowing for our transparent fee for service structure with no entry or exit fees.

What are your costs like?

Financial Streams would normally prepare a Statement of Advice on your behalf which sets out in writing the strategic advice for you together with any investment or insurance recommendations. The fee for preparing the Statement of Advice will vary depending on the scope and complexity of the advice required. However as a general guide the fee for preparing a Statement of Advice together with the associated meetings would usually be between $2,200 and $6,600 depending on the circumstances.

What is your fee structure for ongoing services?

The amount which you will pay on an ongoing basis will depend on your particular needs and circumstances. At Financial Streams we recognise that every client has individual needs and we will tailor the ongoing fee to suit your individual circumstances. Our minimum fee is $3,300 per annum. We will discuss this in detail at our meetings with you.

What is personal risk insurance?

Personal insurance is necessary for us all to consider and at Financial Streams we take great care to identify and recommend insurance that provides the best value for our clients in terms of cost and the terms of the policy
